Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sourcing Specialist role based in Beerwah. The Sourcing Specialist will manage end-to-end sourcing activities for assigned categories, including identifying suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating pricing and terms, and ensuring timely availability of products. The role involves analyzing demand and sales data, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with store operations, merchandising, and supply chain teams to optimize stock, quality, and cost. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining vendor relationships, tracking supplier performance, supporting category planning, and ensuring adherence to company policies and ethical sourcing standards. The Sourcing Specialist will also help identify new product opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement in sourcing processes.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in vendor management, supplier negotiation, and relationship building.
- Experience in demand planning, inventory analysis, and cost optimization.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams such as merchandising, supply chain, and store operations.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets, procurement systems, and basic data analysis tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Prior experience in retail, FMCG, or hypermarket sourcing or procurement is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, or a related field is beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Beerwah, manage multiple priorities, and meet timelines in a fast-paced environment.
