Role Description The Executive in Traffic Scheduling Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for planning and managing daily broadcast traffic schedules, including the accurate placement of advertisements, promotions, and program segments. The executive coordinates with sales, programming, and technical teams to ensure that all scheduled content runs on time and in accordance with contractual commitments and regulatory guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing booking orders, updating traffic logs, resolving scheduling conflicts, monitoring live broadcasts for schedule adherence, and preparing regular reports on inventory usage and campaign delivery. The role also involves maintaining documentation, supporting process improvements in operations, and responding promptly to internal stakeholder queries related to traffic and scheduling.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to collaborate effectively with sales, programming, and technical teams.
- Candidates should possess skills in Operations and Operations Management to handle traffic workflows, scheduling processes, and coordination of on-air activities.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to review data, identify discrepancies, optimize inventory usage, and ensure accurate campaign delivery.
- Candidates should ideally have experience in media, radio, or broadcasting operations, with familiarity in traffic or scheduling systems.
- Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions and multiple priorities.
- Candidates should have proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, scheduling software) and a comfort with learning new systems.
- Candidates should typically hold a bachelor’s degree in business, media, communications, or a related field, or possess equivalent relevant experience.
