Role Description Site Electrical Engineers at Zeckho IT Services will be responsible for overseeing electrical systems and installations at company facilities and client sites in Chennai. This full-time, on-site role involves planning, implementing, and maintaining electrical infrastructure for data centers, IT facilities, and office environments, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant codes and standards. Daily tasks include inspecting and testing electrical equipment, coordinating with contractors and vendors, resolving technical issues, and supporting preventive and corrective maintenance activities. The role also requires documenting work performed, preparing reports, assisting in project planning and budgeting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support continuous operations and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in electrical system design, installation, and maintenance, including knowledge of power distribution, control panels, and protection devices.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation, and in using relevant engineering tools and software.
- Candidates should possess skills in troubleshooting electrical issues, performing inspections and testing, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams, and in managing site activities and reporting progress.
- Candidates should possess strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently at site locations.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred; prior experience in site electrical work for IT facilities, data centers, or commercial buildings is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety practices, and energy-efficient solutions, along with willingness to work flexible hours when required, will be beneficial.
