About the RoleShopping Gate is building out its India Global Capability Center to power engineering for its multi-service super app, spanning food, grocery, visa services, eSIM, utilities and more. The India engineering leader for this GCC will also carry the India Site Head mandate, and this role exists to give that leader real operating leverage — managing their time, keeping the India site running cleanly, and acting as the trusted bridge to the Saudi Arabia HQ. This is a role for someone who enjoys structure in a business that is still being built, and who can hold confidential information with complete discretion.

Its AI-powered super app brings together food delivery, groceries, visa services, eVouchers, eSIM, utility payments and mobile recharge into a single platform for Saudi consumers, with an expanding roadmap into fashion, electronics and home essentials. The company is scaling its technology organisation through a dedicated engineering base in India.
Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive & Calendar Support
- Own end-to-end calendar management for the VP Engineering & India Site Head, balancing priorities across India and Saudi Arabia time zones
- Arrange domestic and international travel, including Saudi visa coordination, itineraries, accommodation, and expense reconciliation
- Screen and prioritise incoming requests, emails, and meeting invites so the leader's time is spent on what matters most
- Prepare the leader ahead of every meeting with the right context, documents, and talking points
India Site & Operations Support
- Coordinate the daily operations of the Bengaluru site — facilities, vendor relationships, IT/admin support, and general workplace upkeep
- Support new-hire onboarding logistics in partnership with HR and IT, from workstation setup to induction scheduling
- Maintain trackers for site headcount, budget, and vendor agreements, surfacing issues early
- Plan office events, team offsites, and visits from Saudi Arabia-based leadership
Cross-Border Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the connective link between India engineering leadership and Saudi Arabia HQ, ensuring updates, decisions and context flow cleanly both ways
- Own the logistics of recurring India–KSA leadership syncs, business reviews, and cross-functional check-ins
- Help the leader prepare materials for HQ leadership and stakeholder updates
Meetings, Communication & Documentation
- Prepare agendas, take minutes, and drive action items to closure for leadership meetings
- Draft and proofread internal communications and site announcements on the leader's behalf
- Keep documentation — policies, vendor contracts, recurring reports — organised and easy to retrieve
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- 5–9 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, or similar, supporting a CXO/VP-level leader — e-commerce, retail-tech, or startup environment preferred
- Demonstrated experience coordinating across geographies and time zones
- Excellent written and spoken English; comfortable engaging with Middle East-based stakeholders
- Strong working proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace, calendar and travel tools, and expense platforms
- High discretion with confidential business, HR, and compensation information
- Organised, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-scaling, still-forming environment
Preferred / Good to Have- Prior experience supporting leadership in a GCC (Global Capability Center) or India-delivery-hub setup
- Exposure to e-commerce, retail-tech, or consumer super-app businesses
- Working knowledge of Arabic (not mandatory) for smoother HQ coordination
- Experience standing up site operations for a newly established office
