StartupNews.fyi (SNFYI) is India's fast-growing startup and tech media platform, reaching founders, investors, and operators across Instagram, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, and web. As we scale our on-ground presence, we're looking for an Event Manager to own and run our event vertical — from monthly founder meetups to quarterly investor retreats and multi-city startup gatherings.
About the Role
You'll work independently (alongside one other team member) to plan, execute, and scale SNF's event ecosystem. This isn't a "coordinate-and-forget" role — you'll be responsible for making every event commercially viable, not just well-run.
What You'll Do
- Plan and execute monthly startup meetups, quarterly investor retreats, and international delegation cordinations.
- Coordinate multi-city startup meetups, managing logistics across locations
- Drive end-to-end event operations — planning, vendor management, on-ground execution, and post-event wrap-up
- Bring in and manage sponsors, partners, and guest coordination for each event
- Build and maintain venue partnerships and a pipeline of event partners
- Own the commercial side of events — ensuring every event is profitable, not just operationally successful
- Manage mixers and networking-style formats suited to the startup/investor community
- Represent SNFYI on-ground with founders, investors, and delegates, ensuring a smooth and high-quality experience
What We're Looking For
- Prior experience organizing/managing startup events, mixers, or community meetups
- Strong grasp of event operations — logistics, vendors, venues, on-ground execution
- Experience or comfort with sponsor/partner acquisition for events
- Ability to work independently and take ownership end-to-end, from planning to P&L of an event
- Comfortable coordinating with international delegations and multi-city stakeholders
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills — you'll be talking to founders, investors, sponsors, and vendors regularly
- Based in or willing to work out of Central Delhi
