Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Elevator Service Technician role based in Ahmedabad. The Elevator Service Technician will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on home elevators to ensure safe and efficient operation. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, repairing or replacing components, and documenting service activities in line with company standards. The role involves responding to service calls, coordinating with the installation and design teams, and communicating clearly with homeowners regarding elevator use, safety, and maintenance schedules. The technician will follow safety regulations, maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, and contribute to continuous improvement of service processes.
Qualifications
- Technical skills in mechanical and electrical systems, including diagnosis, repair, and preventive maintenance of lifts or similar equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements, and best practices for residential elevator installation and servicing.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, service manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to work independently on-site.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with homeowners and internal teams.
- Relevant vocational diploma or certification in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics engineering; prior elevator or lift service experience is highly preferred.
- Physical ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and handle tools and equipment safely.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including responding to urgent service calls when needed.
