Main Roles & Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll work with an innovative, multi-disciplinary team where you will:
Responsible for deliverables such as analysis or reports or deliverables in a specific area of appropriate quality and time.
- Work has to be performed independently with occasional guidance and oversight by senior colleagues.
- Expected to support more senior staff in parts of larger processes.
- Coordinate technical work with HSE, Process, Automation, Instrumentation, BMS and Mechanical.
- Shall be able to execute pharma projects and take Electrical Specification and panel sizing responsibility in projects.
- Should have the ability to understand the scope baseline.
- Expected to, take initiative, prioritize, and plan the work to reach deadlines.
- Understand interfaces and coordination with other disciplines.
- Installation Quality checks for Electrical and Instrumentation packages.
- Punch Point Logging, Implementation, Report and Closure report.
- Ensure disciplinary consistency, quality, and compliance.
- Expected to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, or techniques to accomplish the correct output of specific assigned tasks.
- Coordinate and support other team members in their discipline or department.
- Follow the latest technology trends within the discipline
- Review the work of Jr. Engineers within the discipline.
- Share knowledge across projects for technical and project execution alignment within own discipline.
- Provide cost inputs for proposals.
- Support in development of standards and guidelines
- Demonstrate passion for the technical discipline and ability to apply the knowledge to real life situations.
- A good team player
- Agile and able to prioritize urgent tasks
- Responsible for the technical outcome of own discipline in projects
- Ready to travel anywhere in India or abroad for site visits and shall be able to solve queries related to the site.
Preferred Competencies
We care about who you are as a person. In the end, how you work, and your energy is what impacts the effort we do as a team. As a person, you should possess the following competencies:
- Electrical equipment sizing, VFD sizing, and power calculations
- Electrical distribution for upstream and downstream system
- Cable and cable tray sizing and short circuit calculations
- Earthing calculation as per the IEC standards.
- Knowledge on international standards such as IEC, IEEE, etc.
- Risk assessment studies for electrical safety
- Knowledge on ATEX principles / hazardous area design requirements.
- Knowledge on control circuit design for MCCs and IMCCs.
- Tendering, BOQ preparation.
- Technical Bid Evaluation.
- Knowledge in FAT/SAT activities.
- Elctrical and Instrumentation Installations at site.
- PC Schematic tool (Added advantage)
- SIMARIS tool (Added advantage)
- AutoCAD, Revit (Added advantage)
- 3D model review with Navis tool (Added advantage)
- Education and Work Experience
- In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:
- You have a degree with engineering in Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
- You have a minimum 3 years Engineering experience in Pharma/ Oil & Gas/ chemical industries or similar
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
