ABOUT THE TEAM
The CAD Technician Team at JSM Group is a highly skilled group of design professionals responsible for producing accurate 2D and 3D engineering drawings and models that support the delivery of major power, utility, telecom, and infrastructure projects. Working closely with engineers and project teams across the UK and India, the team utilizes industry-leading tools such as AutoCAD and Revit to develop high-quality design solutions.
The team plays a vital role in transforming engineering concepts into buildable designs while maintaining the highest standards of quality, innovation, and technical excellence.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Draughtsman to join our growing engineering team in Faridabad (NCR). The successful candidate will play a key role in the design and drafting of High Voltage Substations up to 400kV, supporting major infrastructure and power transmission projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with engineering teams in both India and the UK, while contributing to technically challenging and impactful projects.
ABOUT YOU
- Prepare detailed electrical design and construction drawings for substations up to 400kV.
- Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models for substation layouts, equipment arrangements, cable routing, and structural interfaces.
- Produce General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), sections, elevations, and detailed engineering drawings.
- Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design tools for project execution.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers, designers, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Support design reviews, drawing revisions, and technical documentation activities.
- Ensure all drawings meet applicable engineering standards, client specifications, and quality requirements.
EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in Substation Design projects up to 400kV.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Hands-on experience in both 2D and 3D modelling/drafting.
- Good understanding of electrical equipment layouts, protection systems, cable routing, and substation engineering practices.
- Experience working on international utility or transmission projects will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent coordination skills.
