Role Description The EHS Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards across the facility and operations. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Panoli Ankleswar, requiring daily presence to conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks. The EHS Officer will develop and update safety procedures, ensure adherence to applicable regulations, and maintain documentation related to incidents, audits, and training. Day-to-day activities include conducting toolbox talks, organizing safety training sessions, investigating near-misses and incidents, coordinating emergency response plans, and advising management on corrective and preventive actions. The role also involves collaborating with operational teams to improve workplace safety culture and supporting continuous improvement in environmental and occupational health practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- B.E in Chemical/ Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety.
- 0-2 years of Experience in API manufacturing.
- Candidates should possess strong Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety knowledge, including familiarity with relevant laws, standards, and best practices.
- Candidates should possess skills in Occupational Health and Workplace Safety, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and accident prevention.
- Candidates should possess the ability to conduct safety audits, prepare reports, and maintain accurate EHS documentation.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and training skills to engage teams at all levels and promote a strong safety culture.
- Candidates should possess a diploma or degree in safety, environmental science, engineering, or a related field; experience in industrial or pump/engineering environments is an advantage.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work on-site in coordination with operations, maintenance, and management teams.
