The Role: As an Early Years Facilitator, you will create a joyful, safe, and stimulating learning environment where children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually. You will facilitate inquiry, play, and real-life experiences that foster curiosity, independence, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.
Rather than delivering lessons, you will observe children closely, respond to their interests, and thoughtfully design experiences that support their overall development.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate Meaningful Learning:
- Design and facilitate play-based, inquiry-driven learning experiences.
- Encourage language development, early literacy, numeracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Integrate art, music, movement, storytelling, outdoor learning, and hands-on exploration into daily routines.
Observe and Understand Every Child:
- Observe children's learning, behaviour, interests, and developmental milestones.
- Adapt learning experiences based on individual needs and developmental readiness.
Work as Part of a Learning Community
- Collaborate with fellow facilitators for curriculum planning, professional development sessions, reflections, and school initiatives.
- Contribute positively to Prakriti School's culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Masters (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology, Child Development, or a related field.
- B.Ed. or Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
- Candidates with experience of working with young children in a preschool or primary school setting will be preferred. However, freshers with a strong academic background and philosophical match with the school’s vision can also apply.
- Strong communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Familiarity with child-centred, play-based, or inquiry-based approaches is preferred.
