Job Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and proactive E-commerce Accounts Executive to take full ownership of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will manage everything from daily bookkeeping and marketplace reconciliation to tax compliance and financial reporting. You will ensure that every rupee from our online sales is accounted for, reconciled, and reported accurately.
Key Responsibilities
1. Marketplace Reconciliation
- Perform daily/weekly reconciliation of sales reports from platforms (Amazon, First Cry etc.) against bank settlements.
- Identify and dispute discrepancies in agreed fees Vs payments received.
- Track or reconcile PO’s and payments received.
2. Day-to-Day Accounting
- Maintain the General Ledger and ensure all purchase and sales entries are updated in accounting software (Tally Prime, Zoho).
- Manage Accounts Payable (vendor payments, utility bills) and Accounts Receivable.
- Process and track employee reimbursements and petty cash.
3. Taxation & Compliance
- Prepare and file monthly GST returns (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B) specifically handling e-commerce TCS (Tax Collected at Source).
- Ensure timely payment of TDS and filing of quarterly returns.
- Coordinate with the CA for statutory audits and year-end finalization.
4. Inventory & Costing
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct periodic physical-to-book stock audits.
- Calculate Landed Cost of products and analyze Gross Margins per SKU for calculating P&L.
5. Financial Reporting
- Prepare weekly Cash Flow statements.
- Generate monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements at a brand/marketplace level to identify which channels are most profitable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3–5 years in e-commerce accounting (mandatory).
- Software: Expert in Tally Prime, Zoho and Advanced Excel (Dashboards and Pivot Tables are essential).
- Education: B.Com or M.Com; CA Inter or MBA Finance is a plus.
- Traits: High attention to detail, ability to handle large data sets, and a "detective" mindset to find missing payments.
