Role Description The Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The consultant will collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements, design finance-related processes in Dynamics 365, and configure system functionalities to align with those processes. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting workshops, preparing functional documentation, supporting testing activities, and assisting with user training. The role also involves working closely with technical teams to ensure successful implementations, handling issue resolution, and contributing to continuous improvement of finance modules and related integrations.
Qualifications
- Strong functional knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and its core modules (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting).
- Experience in business process analysis, requirements gathering, and solution design for finance and accounting workflows.
- Ability to prepare clear functional specifications, configuration documents, and user manuals.
- Hands-on experience with system configuration, testing (UAT), and end-user training within ERP implementations.
- Good understanding of finance and accounting principles, preferably with exposure to corporate finance or ERP environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and clients on-site.
- Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a project-based setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications in Dynamics 365 Finance or ERP systems are an advantage.
- Prior experience as a Functional Consultant or in a similar role within IT consulting or software implementation is highly beneficial.
