Role Description - This is a full-time, on-site Doctor role based at Chitkara Institute of Medical Sciences near Chandigarh, India. Responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications and performing or assisting in procedures as appropriate. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, supervising and mentoring medical students and residents and participating in clinical teaching activities. The Doctor will contribute to hospital protocols, quality improvement initiatives and may be involved in clinical research and academic projects aligned with the institute’s mission.
Qualifications
- Recognised medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completion of required internship; postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) in a relevant specialty is preferred.
- Valid medical registration/license with the appropriate national or state medical council, with eligibility to practice in India.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in patient history-taking, physical examination, diagnosis and evidence-based treatment planning.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, collaborate with nursing and allied health staff and support a teaching hospital environment.
- Interest and/or experience in medical education, mentoring trainees and participating in academic or clinical research activities.
- Willingness to contribute to institutional growth, quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
