Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Orthopaedic Surgeon role based in Kochi. The Orthopaedic Surgeon will assess, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal conditions, including fractures, joint disorders, and spine-related issues. Daily responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, performing elective and emergency orthopedic surgeries, and providing post-operative care and rehabilitation guidance. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary medical teams, reviewing diagnostic imaging and lab results, and maintaining accurate medical records. The surgeon will also contribute to patient education, participate in clinical meetings, and adhere to evidence-based practices and hospital protocols to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational knowledge and training in Medicine and Orthopedics.
- Candidates should possess advanced clinical and operative skills in Orthopedic Surgery and general Surgery.
- Candidates should possess specialized expertise in spine-related assessment and interventions.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Orthopedics (MS/DNB or equivalent), with valid medical council registration.
- Previous experience as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in a hospital or clinical setting, including exposure to trauma and elective procedures.
- Proficiency in interpreting imaging studies (X-ray, CT, MRI) and integrating findings into treatment plans.
- Strong communication skills, patient-centered approach, and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, adherence to ethical standards, and familiarity with current orthopedic guidelines and best practices.
