Role Description The Ayurveda Panchakarma Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Baddi, responsible for delivering authentic Ayurvedic Panchakarma and related therapies in accordance with established treatment protocols. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing therapy rooms and materials, conducting consultations under the guidance of Ayurvedic physicians, performing Panchakarma procedures (such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, Virechana, Basti, and other detoxification therapies), and monitoring client comfort and safety throughout sessions. The therapist documents treatment details, follows hygiene and safety standards, and collaborates with medical and wellness staff to ensure coordinated care. Additional tasks include educating clients on post-therapy care, lifestyle recommendations, and assisting in maintaining an organized, calm, and healing environment that supports holistic wellness.
Qualifications
- Foundational expertise in Ayurveda, including formal training or certification in Panchakarma therapies from a recognized Ayurvedic institution.
- Hands-on experience performing core Panchakarma procedures and related Ayurvedic treatments, with strong attention to client safety and comfort.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and contraindications relevant to Ayurvedic and naturopathic therapies.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and client-care skills to work compassionately with individuals managing chronic and complex health conditions.
- Ability to follow physician-prescribed protocols, maintain accurate treatment records, and adhere to infection control and hygiene standards.
- Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform therapies for extended periods, including massage-based and bodywork treatments.
- Willingness to work on-site in Baddi, in a residential wellness environment, and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or wellness center offering Ayurvedic or holistic treatments is highly beneficial.
