Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Dialysis Technician role based in Malappuram. The Dialysis Technician will prepare and operate dialysis equipment, perform hemodialysis procedures under medical supervision, and ensure safe and effective treatment delivery. Daily responsibilities include assessing and monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis, recording vital signs, and reporting any changes in patient condition to the clinical team. The role also involves maintaining equipment and treatment areas, adhering to infection control standards, preparing dialysate and related supplies, and supporting patients and families with clear, respectful communication. The technician will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to provide high-quality kidney care and follow all institutional and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Dialysis and Hemodialysis procedures, including setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting of dialysis machines.
- Demonstrated ability in Patient Care, including monitoring comfort and safety, communicating clearly, and providing compassionate support.
- Knowledge of Medicine related to renal care, including understanding treatment plans and medication considerations under clinical guidance.
- Competence in measuring, interpreting, and documenting Vital Signs, and promptly reporting deviations to the supervising clinician.
- Relevant certification or diploma in Dialysis Technology or a related allied health field from a recognized institution.
- Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in nephrology or dialysis units, and familiarity with infection control and safety protocols.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, follow detailed instructions, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Basic computer skills for handling electronic medical records and reporting; proficiency in local languages and English is an advantage.
