Key Responsibilities- Handle complete New Product Development (NPD) from customer enquiry to PPAP approval.
- Study customer drawings and prepare feasibility reports.
- Coordinate with customers for technical clarification, drawing changes and development activities.
- Develop manufacturing process for pipe bending, end forming, welding, piercing, slotting and assembly.
- Prepare and maintain PPAP documents (APQP, PFMEA, Control Plan, Process Flow, PSW, MSA, SPC).
- Create and maintain BOM (Bill of Material) and Part Master in ERP.
- Prepare process sheets, operation standards and work instructions.
- Coordinate with Tool Room for bending dies, fixtures, gauges and checking fixtures development.
- Plan and monitor sample development, trial runs and customer submissions.
- Ensure dimensional and fitment validation of developed parts.
- Handle ECN/ECR, drawing revisions and engineering changes.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase and Planning departments for smooth product development.
- Support SOP (Start of Production) and resolve development-related issues.
- Maintain development records, timelines and project status.
Preferred Skills- Knowledge of Tube/Pipe Bending, MIG/TIG Welding, End Forming, Tube Fabrication & Assembly.
- Good understanding of PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA & SPC.
- Experience in BOM Creation, Part Creation (ERP).
- Ability to read 2D drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks (preferred).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
