Role Description The Design Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Hyderabad Area. This role is responsible for overseeing design projects from concept through completion, ensuring that architectural and interior design plans align with project requirements, timelines, and budgets. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with internal design teams, external consultants, and construction stakeholders, managing design deliverables, and reviewing drawings and specifications for accuracy and feasibility. The Design Project Manager will schedule and lead project meetings, track progress against milestones, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure adherence to quality, regulatory, and brand standards. The role also involves preparing reports and documentation for leadership, supporting decision-making, and maintaining clear communication across all stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong design management capabilities, including coordinating architectural and interior design activities and ensuring design quality and consistency.
- Proficiency in project management and project planning, including scheduling, milestone tracking, and risk management.
- Experience with budgeting and cost control, with the ability to align design decisions to financial and value objectives.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, consultants, and clients, and for preparing clear reports and presentations.
- Relevant experience in real estate, residential construction, or property development; prior work with affordable housing projects is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, civil engineering, project management, or a related field; professional certifications in project management are a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously, work in a fast-paced environment, and make informed decisions under time constraints.
- Familiarity with design and project management tools (e.g., CAD/BIM software, scheduling software) and knowledge of local building codes and standards.
