Job Description Design Manager - Design
📍 Location: Bengaluru with periodic travel to Factory and customer project sites across India
KAS Group are seeking a technically strong Design Manager to lead engineering and design activities for EPC and turnkey projects serving the Semiconductor, PV Solar, and High-Purity Industrial Process sectors.
This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge utility and process systems, supporting some of the fastest-growing industries in India.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead process, mechanical, and piping design activities for EPC projects.
- Perform process calculations, EPC calculations, hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and piping sizing.
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts, utility layouts, isometric drawings, and detailed engineering deliverables.
- Prepare BOMs, BOQs, technical specifications, and material take-offs.
- Experience in designing process & instrument controls
- Select pumps, valves, instruments, piping components, and process equipment.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and industry best practices.
- Support Procurement, Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning teams with technical expertise.
- Resolve engineering challenges and drive continuous improvement in design quality and efficiency.
- Experience of electrical & instrumentation scope is added advantage.
Requirements
✔ B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
✔ 10+ years of experience in Process Engineering, Mechanical Design, Piping Design, or EPC Engineering
✔ Strong experience in process calculations, equipment sizing, and detailed engineering
✔ Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D/3D, SolidWorks, and MS Excel
✔ Experience in Semiconductor, Solar, Industrial Utilities, pharma, Water Treatment, Chemical, or Process Plant projects will be an advantage
