We’re Hiring | Data Center Electrical Engineer
Location: Kuwait | On-site
Digitus Group is looking for an experienced Data Center Electrical Engineer to support the operation and reliability of mission-critical electrical infrastructure within a data center environment.
The role will be responsible for electrical systems from utility intake through critical power distribution, with a strong focus on safe operations, preventive maintenance, switching procedures, system reliability, and incident response.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain MV/LV distribution systems, switchgear, transformers, RMUs, UPS, STS/ATS, generators, batteries, and protection systems
• Lead and supervise HV/MV and critical LV switching operations
• Ensure compliance with LOTO, Permit to Work, electrical safety, and arc-flash requirements
• Develop and maintain electrical SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs
• Plan and manage preventive maintenance activities in accordance with OEM requirements
• Coordinate OEM vendors, major maintenance activities, and system overhauls
• Analyze electrical failures, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
• Support commissioning, integrated systems testing, thermography, and predictive maintenance
• Support and guide electrical manning technicians
• Act as the electrical technical authority during incidents and escalations
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of electrical operations and maintenance experience across MV/LV systems
• At least 2 years of experience in data centers or critical facilities
• Practical experience with HV/MV switching operations
• Knowledge of generators, UPS systems, protection systems, and critical power infrastructure
• Experience in maintenance planning, technical procedure preparation, and vendor management
• Good knowledge of NFPA 110 and NEC references
• Fluent written and spoken English
Added Advantage: OEM training or certifications from Schneider Electric, ABB, Siemens, Eaton, Vertiv, Caterpillar, Cummins, MTU, Socomec, or other relevant critical-power manufacturers.
