Role Description The Data Entry Clerk role at Samanta Traders is a full-time, on-site position based in Malda. The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for accurately entering, updating, and maintaining information in company databases and spreadsheets, including product details, inventory records, sales orders, and customer information. Daily tasks include verifying data, cross-checking documents, preparing basic reports, and assisting with filing and document organization. The role also involves coordinating with team members to resolve data discrepancies, responding to simple customer or vendor inquiries, and supporting general administrative activities as needed. Consistent attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to company data standards are essential for success in this position.
Qualifications
- Strong typing skills and attention to detail for accurate data entry.
- Good computer literacy, including familiarity with spreadsheets and basic office software.
- Experience in administrative assistance, including organizing documents and supporting office processes.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with colleagues and handling routine inquiries.
- Customer service skills to interact professionally with customers and vendors when required.
- Ability to work on-site in Malda and maintain punctual, reliable attendance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage repetitive tasks efficiently.
- Prior experience in data entry, office support, or trading/retail environments is an advantage.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; additional training in office administration or computer applications is a plus.
