Role Description
The Critical Facilities Head – AI Data Centres is a full-time, on-site role based in Abroad, responsible for overseeing the operational integrity and efficiency of AI data centre facilities. This role involves managing facility infrastructure, including power, cooling, security, and safety systems, to ensure continuous, stable, and compliant operations. The individual will lead facility planning, coordinate maintenance activities, manage vendor relationships, and supervise facility upgrades or expansions. Daily responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, optimizing resource usage, aligning facility operations with organizational goals, and collaborating closely with technical and leadership teams. The role also includes budget oversight, risk assessment, and establishing best practices for critical environment management.
Qualifications
- Strong Facility Management (FM) skills, with experience handling critical infrastructure and data centre environments.
- Excellent Analytical Skills to assess operational performance, identify risks, and drive data-informed decisions.
- Budgeting capabilities to plan, allocate, and control facility-related expenditures effectively.
- Proven Team Management experience in leading cross-functional facility and operations teams.
- Procurement expertise for selecting, negotiating, and managing vendors and service providers.
- Experience in managing AI or high-density data centres, including power and cooling optimization.
- Knowledge of relevant safety, regulatory, and compliance standards for critical facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field; advanced certifications in data centre or facility management are an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across technical, operational, and leadership groups.
