About the Role
Sinasta Maritime is seeking a highly motivated Crewing Executive to join our Offshore Fleet Division in Mumbai. The role is central to ensuring that our vessels are manned with competent, certified, and reliable crew members while maintaining compliance with international maritime standards.
This position demands strong organizational skills, recruitment expertise, and the ability to manage crew operations end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Crew Sourcing & Recruitment – Identify and source relevant ranks for offshore fleet requirements.
- Crew Placement – Manage onboarding and deployment of crew members across vessels.
- Retention Strategies – Develop and implement initiatives to retain skilled crew in a competitive market.
- Crewing Operations – Oversee day-to-day crewing activities, ensuring smooth coordination between crew, vessels, and management. Liaise with Vessel, Technical, Marine Departments for needful. Arrange & Control the Crew Change Procedures.
- Documentation Management – Coordinate Internally with different teams for Check, arrange, and maintain crew documents and certificates.
- Background Verification – Conduct background checks and verifications of candidates.
- Audit Preparation – Prepare documentation for RPSL, MLC, ISO, and other statutory audits.
- Flag & Agency Coordination – Liaise with Flag State Authorities, Agencies, and DGS for compliance and renewals.
- CV Management – Sort, arrange, and manage CVs received for crew recruitment, maintaining a structured database.
- The role also contributes to continuous improvement in crewing processes, supporting Sinasta Maritime’s commitment to safe operations, quality service, and clean seas.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, HR, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in crewing operations (offshore fleet preferred).
- Strong knowledge of flag documentation, DGS requirements, and international maritime compliance.
- Familiarity with RPSL, MLC, and ISO audit processes.
- Experience in offshore crewing or ship management operations, including crew planning, rotation management, and documentation control.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, flag state requirements, STCW conventions, and industry standards relevant to offshore vessels.
- Proficiency in MS Office and crewing or fleet management software, with the ability to maintain accurate digital records and reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with seafarers, clients, internal teams, and external agencies.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple vessels and crew changes simultaneously.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, ethical practices, and a high level of integrity in all crewing decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in maritime studies, logistics, business administration, or a related field; relevant maritime certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in offshore or marine operations in Mumbai or similar hubs is preferred; familiarity with international crew sourcing is beneficial.
