📢 We’re Hiring: Estimation Engineer
Innovative Instruments and Controls (IIC)is an industrial automation company specializing in automation solutions, control panels, PLC programming, and industrial projects delivered across India and international markets.
We are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer to join our team and support the preparation of accurate and competitive project estimates and quotations.
### 🔹 Position: Estimation Engineer
📍 Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu
💼 Experience: Minimum 3 years
🏢 Industry:Industrial Automation / Electrical Engineering
### Key Responsibilities
* Prepare detailed cost estimates for industrial automation projects
* Study technical requirements, drawings, specifications, and BOQs
* Prepare BOMs and material cost calculations
* Estimate costs for control panels, PLC, HMI, SCADA, drives, electrical components, and automation systems
* Obtain and compare vendor quotations
* Prepare commercial and technical quotations
* Coordinate with Sales, Design, Project, Purchase, and Engineering teams
* Ensure accurate costing of materials, labour, engineering, and project requirements
* Negotiate with vendors to obtain competitive pricing
* Maintain estimation and quotation records
* Support the sales team with technical and commercial inputs
* Ensure quotations are submitted within the required timelines
### Candidate Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience in estimation/costing
* Experience in industrial automation, electrical panels, control panels, or electrical engineering
* Good knowledge of electrical and automation components
* Ability to understand electrical drawings, BOQs, and BOMs
* Strong knowledge of MS Excel
* Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
* Good analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
