🚀 We're Hiring | System Engineer – Industrial AutomationExperience: 2–3 Years | Industrial Automation | Global Travel
Our client is an established Engineering & Industrial Technology Solutions organization supporting customers across automation, smart manufacturing, industrial digitalization, and engineering solutions.
We are looking for a System Engineer who can design, program, install, commission, test, and support industrial automation and control systems at customer locations.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on automation, PLC/SCADA programming, troubleshooting, system integration, and working directly with customers.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Visit customer sites to understand technical requirements and provide automation solutions.
- Design, develop, install, commission, and troubleshoot industrial control systems.
- Develop and modify PLC and SCADA programs based on project requirements.
- Configure and integrate automation systems and communication networks.
- Test automated systems for performance, safety, reliability, and functionality.
- Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, communication, and system integration issues.
- Provide technical support to customers during installation and post-deployment.
- Prepare and maintain design documents, test plans, test cases, and technical documentation.
- Develop basic code and database objects based on documented technical designs.
- Work closely with engineering, project, and customer teams to ensure successful project execution.
⚙️ Technical Skills Required
PLC & Automation
- Hands-on experience with Siemens, Omron, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or other industrial PLC platforms.
- Strong understanding of PLC programming using Ladder Logic, FBD, SCL/STL.
- Experience with SCADA systems, particularly Siemens WinCC and/or Ignition.
Ignition / SCADA Modules
Experience with modules such as:
- Web Browser
- Alarm Notification
- SQL Bridge
- Tag Historian
- Reporting
Industrial Communication
- Ethernet/IP
- PROFINET
- PROFIBUS
- Modbus
- Understanding of industrial communication topologies and their deployment at customer sites.
System Integration
- Exposure to OPC-based integration, including Kepware and Siemens OPC.
- Understanding of PLC–SCADA–database integration.
Programming / Database
- Working knowledge of SQL Server
- Exposure to Python scripting, Java, or VBA will be an advantage.
🎓 Education & Experience
- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Industrial Automation.
- Hands-on experience in PLC/SCADA programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, or system integration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
