Role Description The Continental Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting a range of Continental dishes. Day-to-day tasks include menu execution, managing kitchen stations, supervising food preparation, and ensuring consistent portioning and plating standards. The role involves maintaining hygiene and safety protocols, monitoring inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and assisting with menu innovation based on guest feedback and seasonal ingredients. The Continental Chef will work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations during peak hours. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Orange Flame Cafe in New Delhi.
Qualifications
- Strong culinary skills in Continental cuisine, including preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Experience with kitchen operations such as food preparation, inventory management, and quality control.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance with local health regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage time well, and maintain attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff.
- Prior experience as a Continental Chef or in a similar chef role in a restaurant or cafe setting.
- Relevant culinary education or professional training from a recognized institute is preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the cafe’s schedule.
