Job Title: Content Writer – Political Content

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Content Writer with a strong interest in politics and current affairs to create engaging, accurate, and timely content across various platforms. The ideal candidate has a firm grasp of political developments, strong research skills, and the ability to translate complex issues into clear, compelling content.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and write articles, blogs, social media posts, and reports on political news, policies, and current affairs
- Stay updated on national and regional political developments, elections, and government policies
- Fact-check content thoroughly and ensure accuracy and neutrality where required
- Adapt writing style and tone based on platform (website, social media, newsletters, etc.)
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and social media teams to align content with campaigns or publishing calendars
- Meet content deadlines while maintaining quality and consistency
- Optimize content for SEO where applicable
- Monitor trending political topics and suggest relevant content ideas
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in content writing, preferably in political, news, or current affairs domains
- Strong command over English (additional regional language proficiency is a plus)
- Excellent research, analytical, and fact-checking skills
- Ability to write objectively and handle sensitive topics responsibly
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and content platforms (WordPress, CMS tools, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Political Science, Mass Communication, or a related field preferred
- Strong understanding of Indian political landscape and current events
Preferred Skills
- Experience with social media content creation
- Basic knowledge of graphic/video content coordination
- Prior experience working with political consultancies, media houses, or campaign teams
