As a Social Media - Content Manager at GoSeen, you will be responsible for developing strategies to increase followers, creating and overseeing social campaigns, producing content strategies and overseeing the content creation team, reviewing analytics and preparing progress reports, and communicating with key stakeholders, including clients from varied industries.
To be successful in this role, you need to possess a knack for storytelling, a keen eye for design, and an ability to analyse what does well with an audience and what doesn’t.
As a Social media Content manager, your tasks will include:
- Increasing followers and driving engagement: Boost our clients’ social profiles on all active social platforms by increasing the number of followers they have and the amount of engagement (likes, comments, shares) they receive. You may be expected to develop content for written or visual posts to achieve both.
- Strategising content and campaigns: To drive engagement, you’ll be responsible for ideating and executing social campaigns that align with the larger marketing strategies. You may also generate ideas for timely and evergreen content or repurpose user-generated content.
- Overseeing Content Creation and Collaboration: Your role involves directing and supervising content creation efforts, working closely with video editors and graphic designers. This encompasses conceptualising and guiding the execution of diverse visual and multimedia elements that align seamlessly with overarching marketing strategies. Additionally, you'll play a pivotal role in preparing research documents on various clients to keep yourselves informed about the latest industry trends and benchmark competition.
- Analysing data: In addition to creative work, you’ll also spend time analysing data to draw conclusions about how a company’s/individual’s posts and content are performing. This can include social listening, monitoring what social media users say about a brand or competitors.
- Reporting metrics to key stakeholders: To ensure that the work we’re doing has an impact, you’ll likely be expected to report on the value addition for the social media accounts or any problems that arise to your marketing teams and even other stakeholders. They’ll probably be looking to see how you grow followers, increase engagement, and develop creative content and campaigns, among other metrics.
- Posting and monitoring social media platforms: You will be responsible for posting and monitoring all social platforms. In that case, you may need to schedule posts and observe followers’ responses. You may also be responsible for responding to comments and messages from followers as per the brand’s voice.
- Writing & Copywriting: Craft compelling, brand-aligned copy that resonates with the target audience. Ensure captions, posts, and campaign messages fit seamlessly into the brand’s story and tone.
- Editing & Proofreading: Review and refine content to maintain superior quality, grammatical accuracy, and consistency across platforms.
- Platform Expertise: Thorough knowledge of social media platforms, including Meta, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and GMB, understanding their algorithms, audience behaviours, and engagement strategies.
- Content Planning & Strategy: Ability to develop and execute social media strategies that drive engagement, conversions, and brand growth.
- Eye for Design: Work closely with graphic designers and video editors to ensure visuals align with brand messaging and campaign objectives.
- Analytical Skills: Experience using social media listening and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, and HubSpot to track performance, analyse trends, and optimise content.
- Trend Awareness & Flexibility: Stay updated on algorithm changes, emerging trends, and viral moments to adapt content strategies in real-time.
- Crisis & Reputation Management: Monitor online conversations to protect and enhance brand reputation, handling potential PR issues proactively.
