We’re Hiring — Compliance & Logistics Executive
HALBEX | India-Origin Global Food Trade
HALBEX is building a technology-driven B2B trade platform for structured export of India-origin food products to international markets.
We are looking for a hands-on Compliance & Logistics Executive who understands the real food-export journey — from product compliance and documentation to freight coordination and international shipment operations.

Experience Required
Minimum 3–5 years of practical experience in food/agricultural exports from India.
Experience should preferably include products such as:
- Rice, grains, pulses and millets
- Spices and seasonings
- Fresh fruits and vegetables
- Halal meat and poultry
- Fish and seafood
- Dairy and related products
- Processed and frozen foods
- Other Indian food and agricultural products
Your Role at HALBEX
This is a phased role. Responsibilities will be introduced according to defined project timelines and will not be expected to be completed simultaneously.
Phase 1 — Trade Compliance Data
Research, collect, structure and maintain destination-specific compliance information for HALBEX products.
The work will include:
- Indian ITC (HS) 8-digit classification
- Destination-country HS classification
- Seller pre-listing requirements
- Destination market-access requirements
- Product-specific certifications and testing requirements
- Seller shipment documents
- Freight-forwarder documentation
- Destination customs/import-clearance requirements
- Buyer/importer requirements
- Packaging and labelling requirements
- Product and country restrictions
- Seller and buyer compliance warnings
- Regulatory references
- Source and verification records
Important: Compliance information must be supported by official government or competent regulatory sources. AI may assist research, but AI-generated information alone will not be accepted as compliance evidence.
The initial objective is to progressively build and maintain HALBEX's compliance intelligence across priority India-origin products and approved destination markets.
Phase 2 — Logistics Vendor Network Development
As HALBEX moves toward commercial operations, responsibilities will progressively expand to:
- Identify freight forwarders and logistics service providers
- Build vendor networks across Indian states and HALBEX destination markets
- Contact and invite suitable vendors to HALBEX
- Support vendor verification and onboarding
- Collect and verify vendor documentation
- Maintain vendor profiles on the HALBEX platform
- Coordinate quotation participation
- Support route and service coverage development
Phase 3 — Logistics Operations
As transactions begin, responsibilities will expand to operational management, including:
- Freight quotation coordination
- Vendor communication
- Shipment assignment
- Pickup coordination
- Export documentation
- Freight-forwarder documentation
- Customs/CHA coordination
- Container and shipment coordination
- Reefer/cold-chain coordination where applicable
- Shipment tracking
- SLA monitoring
- Delay and escalation management
- Documentation follow-up
- Vendor performance monitoring
- Claims and operational issue coordination
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in several of the following:
- Food/agricultural exports from India
- Export documentation
- HS/ITC(HS) classification
- Destination-country compliance
- APEDA/FSSAI/DGFT-related export processes
- Phytosanitary or health documentation
- Customs/CHA coordination
- Freight forwarding
- Ocean/air freight
- Bills of Lading / Air Waybills
- Reefer or temperature-controlled shipments
- International logistics
- Vendor coordination
- Advanced Excel and structured data management
Particularly Valuable
Experience dealing with food exports to markets such as:
United States, UAE, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Europe, Canada, Australia, Japan, Southeast Asia or other international destinations.
Career Growth
This position begins as an Executive role.
A candidate who demonstrates strong performance in compliance intelligence, vendor-network development and logistics operations may be considered for progression into a future Logistics Manager / Compliance & Logistics leadership role as HALBEX scales.
We are looking for someone who wants to build the function, not simply perform routine documentation.
