Role Description The Commis - I (Chinese) is a full-time, on-site culinary role based at Aldovia Resort & Convention in Bengaluru. This team member supports the Chinese kitchen in preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality Chinese dishes for restaurants, banquets, and special events. Daily responsibilities include mise en place, executing recipes to standard, maintaining portion control, and assisting with menu items under the guidance of senior chefs. The role involves strict adherence to food safety and hygiene practices, proper storage and rotation of ingredients, and cleanliness of workstations and equipment. The Commis - I (Chinese) also collaborates with the broader kitchen and service teams to ensure timely service, consistent quality, and a refined guest dining experience.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong food preparation and cooking abilities, with proven culinary skills in Chinese cuisine.
- Candidates should demonstrate solid knowledge of hygiene, food safety standards, and kitchen cleanliness practices.
- Candidates should have effective communication skills to coordinate with chefs, kitchen colleagues, and service teams.
- Candidates should ideally have prior experience in hotel or resort kitchens, especially in Asian or Chinese specialty restaurants.
- Relevant culinary education or certification from a recognized institute is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow instructions, and maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by operation needs.
