CO-CREATOR (TALEWISE)
Children's Literature Publishing House by Empathy
The Opportunity
Talewise is Empathy's children's literature publishing house.
The vision is to create stories that don't merely entertain children, but help them think, feel, question, understand and grow.
Talewise sits at the intersection of:
Storytelling × Spirituality × Human Values × Imagination
We are looking for a Co-Creator who wants to help build Talewise as a long-term storytelling and publishing ecosystem.
This Is Not Simply A Writing Role
We aren't looking for someone who wants to submit a story and move on.
We are looking for someone who wants to participate in:
Ideas → Characters → Stories → Books → Worlds → Intellectual Properties
You may contribute to the development of individual stories as well as the larger Talewise universe.

- Story development
- Character creation
- Character arcs
- Children's books
- Story series
- Manuscript development
- Story editing
- Narrative structures
- Themes and underlying ideas
- Collaboration with illustrators
- Digital storytelling formats
- Audio/video storytelling
- Interactive storytelling concepts
- Future Talewise intellectual properties
- Publishing and content ideas
- Building a larger ecosystem around children's literature
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Loves children's literature
- Understands children as an audience
- Can write simply without writing shallowly
- Understands character-driven storytelling
- Is imaginative and curious
- Can develop meaningful stories without becoming preachy
- Is interested in philosophy, spirituality and human behaviour
- Understands age-appropriate narratives
- Is open to feedback and collaborative creation
- Wants to build something rather than simply complete an assignment
Backgrounds in writing, children's literature, publishing, education, storytelling, or related fields can be helpful.
But your storytelling ability and way of thinking matter more than your degree.
What Does "Co-Creator" Mean?
You will not simply be a content vendor.
We want you to contribute ideas, perspective and ownership of the creative journey.
You will have the opportunity to influence what Talewise becomes.
COMMERCIAL STRUCTURE (PLEASE READ)
This is a revenue/equity share collaboration opportunity. It is not a fixed-salary employment position. You’ll potentially be a part of the founding team as we grow.
The selected co-creator will participate in revenue generated from the Talewise projects/products they contribute to, according to a mutually agreed revenue-sharing structure.
There is no guaranteed fixed monthly salary at the outset.
Before collaboration begins, Empathy/Talewise and the selected co-creator will mutually agree in writing on:
- Revenue-share percentage
- Scope of contribution
- Creative responsibilities
- Intellectual property ownership
- Publishing rights
- Adaptation/derivative rights, where applicable
- Credits and attribution
- Payment mechanism and timelines
- Exit/termination terms
Nothing should be assumed. The commercial and creative relationship will be discussed openly before you commit.
