Role Description This is a full-time, on-site CMM Programmer/Operator role based in the Pune Division. The role involves programming CMM equipment, setting up and operating machines, and performing dimensional measurements as per drawings, standards, and customer specifications. The CMM Programmer/Operator will interpret engineering drawings and CAD models, create and optimize CMM programs, and conduct detailed inspections of components to verify compliance with quality requirements. Daily responsibilities include documenting inspection results, preparing reports, supporting calibration and gauge management activities, and coordinating with production and quality teams to resolve measurement-related issues. The role also includes maintaining CMM equipment, following safety and quality procedures, and contributing to continuous improvement of inspection processes.
Qualifications
- Strong measurement and inspection skills, including experience with Measurements and Inspection on CMM and conventional instruments.
- Knowledge of Gauges and Calibration practices, including handling, verification, and maintenance of measuring tools.
- Background in Quality Control, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
- Experience in CMM programming and operation (any major CMM software) and familiarity with CAD models.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail, and to prepare clear inspection reports and documentation.
- Good communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with production, quality, and customer teams on-site.
- Prior experience in a precision machining, automotive, aerospace, or similar manufacturing environment is an advantage.
