Role Description The Design Engineer will be responsible for developing and refining mechanical or electronic designs, preparing technical drawings and models, and ensuring that all design outputs meet project specifications and industry standards. Day-to-day activities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing requirements, performing design calculations, and using CAD or similar tools to create and update design documentation. The role also involves supporting prototyping and testing, addressing design issues, and contributing to continuous improvement of products and processes. This is a hybrid role based in Pune Division, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in engineering principles (mechanical, electrical, or related discipline) and the ability to apply them to practical design challenges.
- Proficiency with CAD or other design and modeling tools, along with experience preparing detailed technical drawings and documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, perform basic design calculations, and support testing or validation activities.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders in a hybrid environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines responsibly.
- Familiarity with industry standards, quality practices, and safety considerations relevant to engineering design is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a design-oriented role or internship is preferred but not required for highly motivated candidates.
