Cluster General Manager – Germany

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Cluster General Manager to oversee a portfolio of hotels comprising approximately 600+ keys across Germany.
The CGM will have overall responsibility for hotel operations, financial performance, guest experience, people leadership, commercial strategy and business growth across the cluster.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced hotel leader who has managed large multi-property operations and can successfully balance operational excellence with strong commercial and financial performance.
Key ResponsibilitiesCluster Operations
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across the entire hotel portfolio.
- Ensure consistent operating standards across all properties.
- Monitor guest satisfaction, service quality and operational KPIs.
- Drive operational efficiencies and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with German regulations, hotel standards and company policies.
- Conduct regular property visits and operational reviews.
Financial & Commercial Management
- Take overall responsibility for the cluster's P&L, revenue and profitability.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts and business plans.
- Monitor GOP, RevPAR, ADR, occupancy and other key hotel performance indicators.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve margins.
- Work closely with Sales & Revenue Management teams to maximize property performance.
- Develop strategies for underperforming properties.
People Leadership
- Lead and develop General Managers and senior leadership teams across the cluster.
- Build a strong performance-oriented culture.
- Identify succession-planning and talent-development opportunities.
- Ensure effective workforce planning across properties.
- Coach and mentor hotel leadership teams.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities for portfolio growth and operational improvement.
- Work with ownership and corporate leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Support new hotel openings, acquisitions, transitions and integrations where required.
- Develop strong relationships with hotel owners, investors and external stakeholders.
Guest Experience
- Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction across all properties.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement corrective action plans.
- Establish consistent service standards across the portfolio.
Candidate ProfileExperience
- 12–18+ years of overall hotel industry experience.
- Proven experience as a General Manager / Cluster General Manager / Area General Manager / Regional Hotel Operations Head.
- Experience managing a portfolio of approximately 500–700+ hotel keys is strongly preferred.
- Experience managing multiple properties simultaneously.
- Strong experience in P&L management and commercial hotel operations.
- Experience working with hotel owners, investors and senior corporate stakeholders.
- Experience in Germany or the wider European hospitality market is highly preferred.
