About reKraftt
reKraftt is a Pune-based circular building materials startup transforming construction and demolition (C&D) waste primarily brick debris into non-fired, mineral-bound building products (SustaBrick, SustaPaver) using a zero-firing process with mineral based binders. Incubated at Venture Center and supported by a Catalyst grant, we're executing a 12-month pilot to bring these products to certification-ready status.
Role Overview
We're looking for a Civil Engineer to support technical validation and product development across our SustaPaver and SustaBrick lines. You'll work closely with our founder and technical mentors on material testing, standards compliance, and lab coordination as we move through our pilot milestones.
What you'll do
- Support testing of SustaPaver against IS 15658:2021 (precast concrete pavers) and SustaBrick against IS 1725:2023 (stabilized soil blocks) compliance parameters
- Coordinate R&D screening rounds with local Pune labs and manage the NABL-accredited pre-certification testing round
- Assist with material characterization compressive strength, water absorption, density, and durability testing
- Document test results, iterate on mix formulations, and help troubleshoot performance gaps
- Support techno-economic analysis of production processes
- Contribute to technical sections of grant reporting and milestone documentation
What we're looking for
- Degree in Civil Engineering (recent graduates and final-year students welcome to apply)
- Familiarity with concrete/masonry testing standards and lab testing procedures
- Interest in sustainable construction materials and circular economy principles
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with hands-on lab and field work
- Based in or willing to work from Pune (Hybrid role)
