Role Description The Civil Engineer role at PInterview is a full-time remote position focused on leveraging professional civil engineering expertise to support and guide users preparing for interviews in civil engineering and related fields. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting mock interview sessions with students and professionals, evaluating their technical and practical knowledge, and providing constructive feedback to improve performance. The Civil Engineer will help design interview questions and scenarios related to civil engineering design, planning, and stormwater management, ensuring alignment with industry standards and current practices. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with other experts to refine interview frameworks, staying up to date with civil engineering trends and regulations, and contributing to educational content that enhances users’ understanding of civil engineering roles and expectations.
Qualifications
- Strong civil engineering foundation, including Civil Engineering and Civil Engineers experience, with professional exposure to industry practices.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and Planning, with the ability to discuss and evaluate design concepts and project plans in interview scenarios.
- Hands-on knowledge of Stormwater Management and related infrastructure, capable of assessing candidates’ understanding of regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline, and professional certification or licensure (e.g., PE) is a plus.
- Experience in mentoring, teaching, or conducting interviews, with strong communication and feedback skills tailored to diverse learners.
- Comfort working in a remote, technology-enabled environment, including using online video platforms and digital collaboration tools.
- Ability to stay current with civil engineering codes, standards, and emerging technologies to ensure relevant and effective interview preparation.
