About the internship
- We are looking for a Civil / Interior Engineering Intern who wants hands‑on exposure to site execution, interior fit‑out, civil works, plumbing and electrical coordination for F&B, retail and commercial projects.
- This is a field‑heavy Site Engineer / Site Supervisor style internship where you will visit sites, take measurements, prepare BOQs and estimates, coordinate vendors and labour, and help manage day‑to‑day execution on site.
Responsibilities
- Visit project sites for site inspection, site supervision, site measurements and site progress tracking for interior and civil works.
- Prepare measurement sheets, BOQ, quantity take‑off, basic cost estimates and quotations for interior, civil, plumbing and electrical works.
- Assist the Site Engineer / Project Engineer / Project Manager in planning and coordinating interior fit‑out, carpentry, false ceiling, flooring, painting, partition, masonry and finishing works.
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, labour teams (civil, carpenter, plumber, electrician, painter) to ensure work is executed as per drawings and timelines.
- Check quality, finishing, workmanship and materials at site and report issues with photos and daily site reports.
- Support in basic plumbing layout, points marking, electrical points marking, lighting layout coordination with the senior engineer/consultant.
- Help create and update work schedules, daily progress reports, site diaries and photo documentation for each project.
- Attend client / landlord / contractor meetings on site and note minutes of meeting (MOM) and follow‑up actions.
Desired candidate profile
- Students / freshers from Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Architecture, Construction Management or related fields.
- Basic understanding of building construction, interior design execution, civil finishing, plumbing and electrical services (site exposure during college is a plus).
- Ability to read 2D drawings, plans and interior layouts (AutoCAD or similar).
- Comfortable with field work, travelling to multiple sites in Mumbai, and working with contractors and labour.
- Good knowledge of Excel / Google Sheets for BOQ and costing, and Word / PowerPoint for reports and documentation.
- Strong communication in English and Hindi (Marathi is an advantage on site).
