Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Child Psychologist role based in Kanpur. The Child Psychologist will conduct psychological assessments, observe behavior, and develop individualized treatment plans for children with developmental, emotional, or behavioral concerns. Daily responsibilities include providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions, supporting family counseling, and collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to design and implement intervention programs. The role involves documenting clinical progress, maintaining accurate case records, and contributing to standardized clinical protocols. The Child Psychologist will also engage with parents, teachers, and caregivers to provide guidance, psychoeducation, and follow-up support to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with demonstrated ability to work with children and adolescents.
- Proficiency in Psychological Testing, including administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized assessments for developmental and emotional concerns.
- Experience or training in Family Therapy, with skills in engaging parents and caregivers as part of the child’s support system.
- Relevant medical or allied health background (e.g., clinical psychology, child development, pediatric mental health) to understand co-occurring medical and psychological conditions.
- Master’s degree or higher in Clinical Psychology, Child Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field; appropriate registration or licensure as per local regulations is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and interact sensitively with children and families.
- Experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, play therapy, behavioral interventions) tailored to children with developmental delays or disabilities.
- Ability to maintain detailed clinical documentation, manage caseloads efficiently, and adhere to ethical and confidentiality standards.
- Prior experience in school settings, child development centers, or mental health clinics is an advantage.
