Role Description
The Chartered Accountant – Assistant Manager – Audit & Assurance role is a full-time on-site position based in Mumbai. Lead statutory audits, internal audits, process reviews, and control testing across client engagements. Own delivery quality, mentor team members, and manage stakeholder relationships end to end.
What you'll do
The role involves leading and executing statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits for clients across industries, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards. The Assistant Manager will review financial statements, assess internal controls, identify process improvements, and prepare detailed audit documentation and reports. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring junior team members, coordinating with client stakeholders, and managing timelines to deliver high-quality audit engagements. The role also requires staying updated on regulatory changes, contributing to methodology enhancements, and supporting business development initiatives within the Audit & Assurance practice.
Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of experience
- Strong understanding of Accounting and Finance principles, including corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and analyzing Financial Statements in accordance with relevant standards.
- Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, IFRS, and other GAAPs
- Hands-on experience with Accounting Software and related audit tools used for data analysis and documentation.
- Solid Bookkeeping and record-keeping skills to validate and reconcile financial data during audits.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with relevant post-qualification experience in Audit & Assurance.
- Knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, Companies Act, and other applicable statutory and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead and mentor team members.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, manage multiple engagements, and meet tight deadlines.
