Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Catering Manager role based in Gurgaon. The Catering Manager will oversee daily catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation coordination, and service execution for railway and related sector clients. Responsibilities include managing catering staff schedules, monitoring food quality and safety standards, and ensuring timely delivery and setup at designated locations. The role involves collaborating with internal teams and clients to understand requirements, customize offerings, and resolve service issues promptly. The Catering Manager will also manage inventory and vendor relationships, track costs, and support continuous improvement in operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Food Service and Catering operations, with the ability to manage end-to-end event and institutional catering.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cooking and Food & Beverage standards, including hygiene, safety, and presentation best practices.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with experience handling client expectations and addressing feedback in a professional manner.
- Experience leading teams in a hospitality or food service environment, including staff supervision and training.
- Ability to manage logistics, scheduling, and inventory for high-volume catering operations.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Comfort working in on-site, fast-paced operational settings; prior experience in railway, institutional, or large-scale catering is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or a related field preferred.
