Role Description The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at our Chennai property. This position supports the Food and Beverage Manager in overseeing restaurant, bar, banquet, and room service operations, ensuring high service standards and guest satisfaction. Daily responsibilities include supervising service teams, coordinating staff schedules, monitoring inventory, and supporting menu planning and promotions in collaboration with culinary leadership. The role also involves maintaining hygiene and safety standards, handling guest feedback, supporting training and performance reviews, and assisting with cost control and revenue optimization. The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager works closely with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service for events, groups, and individual guests.
Qualifications
- Operational leadership skills in food and beverage, including team supervision, shift management, and coordination of restaurant and banquet services.
- Strong focus on guest service and relationship management, with the ability to resolve issues promptly and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards, with attention to detail in maintaining clean and orderly service areas.
- Basic financial and analytical skills related to cost control, inventory management, and revenue enhancement in food and beverage operations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and guide diverse teams.
- Prior experience in hotel or resort food and beverage operations, preferably in a supervisory or assistant management role.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
