Role Description The Cashier role at Vrs Universal is a full-time, on-site position based in Indore. In this role, the Cashier will handle customer transactions, process payments, issue receipts, and ensure accurate cash management at the point of sale. The Cashier will assist customers with billing queries, maintain a clean and organized checkout area, and follow company procedures for cash handling and reconciliation. Daily tasks also include balancing the cash drawer, reporting discrepancies, and coordinating with team members to support smooth store operations. The Cashier is expected to provide courteous, efficient service while maintaining high standards of integrity and reliability.
Qualifications
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail for handling cash, card, and digital transactions accurately.
- Customer service skills, including clear communication, patience, and a helpful attitude with diverse customers.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with POS systems or willingness to learn billing and payment software.
- Ability to work on-site in Indore, stand for extended periods, and manage a fast-paced retail or service environment.
- Reliability, honesty, and adherence to company policies regarding cash handling, safety, and confidentiality.
- Prior experience in a cashier, retail, or front-desk role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Minimum educational qualification: high school diploma or equivalent; further commerce or business studies are an advantage.
