Role Description The Cashier is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, responsible for handling customer transactions and providing courteous, efficient service at the point of sale. Day-to-day tasks include processing cash, card, and digital payments, issuing receipts, balancing the cash register, and maintaining accurate transaction records. The role involves greeting customers, answering basic product and price inquiries, and coordinating with sales staff to ensure a smooth checkout experience. The Cashier also helps maintain a clean and organized checkout area and follows company policies for returns, exchanges, and payment security.
Qualifications
- Strong cash handling skills and accuracy in managing POS systems and daily reconciliations.
- Customer service skills, including polite communication, patience, and problem-solving at checkout.
- Basic math and numerical skills for calculating totals, discounts, and change quickly and correctly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, standing for extended periods and managing queues.
- Attention to detail and reliability in following procedures for billing, returns, and security checks.
- Prior experience as a cashier or in retail operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as per store requirements.
