Role Description The Article Assistant will support audit, assurance, taxation, and accounting assignments under the supervision of senior team members in a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and tax audits, vouching and verification of records, preparing working papers, and documenting audit findings. The role involves supporting preparation and filing of tax returns, working on compliance with Income Tax, GST, and other regulatory requirements, and helping in drafting reports and presentations for clients. The Article Assistant will maintain organized documentation, coordinate with client teams for data collection, and use accounting and office software tools to complete tasks efficiently. The position offers structured learning, professional development, and hands-on exposure to a variety of industries and assignments within the firm’s practice.
Qualifications
- Candidates should be registered as CA students (pursuing articleship under ICAI), with a solid understanding of basic accounting and auditing principles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, bookkeeping, and financial statement analysis, with the ability to work accurately with numbers and documentation.
- Familiarity with taxation concepts (Income Tax, GST) and regulatory compliance requirements, with a willingness to learn and apply relevant laws and rules.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort working with accounting software and digital tools used in audit and tax assignments.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear working papers, reports, and client correspondence.
- Good time management, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines under guidance.
- Team-oriented mindset, professional ethics, and a learning-focused attitude, with readiness to work on-site in Delhi and travel to client locations as required.
- Prior internship or practical exposure in audit, tax, or accounting (if any) will be an added advantage.
