Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and dependable finance professional who is either a qualified Chartered Accountant or a semi-qualified CA. The individual will independently manage the financial administration, accounting, taxation, compliance, and related CA functions of the firm and its clients.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong ownership, attention to detail, sound professional judgment, and the ability to take assignments through to completion with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be expected to anticipate requirements, identify risks early, follow up consistently, and ensure that all financial and statutory obligations are completed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the firm’s day-to-day financial administration, accounting operations, and statutory compliance.
* Handle accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and compliance assignments for the firm’s clients.
* Oversee bookkeeping, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, expense management, and maintenance of financial records.
* Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management information reports.
* Manage cash-flow planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Handle direct and indirect tax compliances, including GST, TDS, income-tax matters, return filings, reconciliations, and coordination relating to assessments or notices.
* Support statutory audits, tax audits, internal audits, and other assurance or compliance engagements.
* Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, banks, government authorities, clients, and other professional stakeholders.
* Monitor statutory and internal deadlines and ensure timely completion of all filings, payments, documentation, and follow-ups.
* Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting, reporting, documentation, and financial administration processes.
* Assist the firm’s advisory teams with financial analysis, due diligence, transaction support, valuations, cash-flow reviews, and other client mandates, as required.
* Provide management and clients with accurate, timely, and practical financial insights.
* Identify financial, compliance, and operational risks proactively and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
* Take complete ownership of assigned responsibilities from planning and execution to follow-up and closure.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified Chartered Accountant or semi-qualified CA; candidates who have completed CA Intermediate and articleship are welcome to apply.
* Relevant experience in accounting, taxation, financial reporting, audits, and statutory compliance.
* Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, accounting standards, and applicable corporate and regulatory requirements.
* Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and commonly used accounting and financial reporting tools.
* Experience in a consulting, advisory, professional-services, or CA firm environment will be an advantage.
* Exposure to financial due diligence, transaction advisory, valuation, fundraising, or financial modelling will be preferred but is not mandatory.
Key Attributes
* Highly proactive, responsible, and solution-oriented.
* Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
* Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent follow-through and discipline in closing pending matters.
* Clear written and verbal communication skills.
* Professional and confident while interacting with clients and senior stakeholders.
* High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.

We are looking for someone who does more than process accounts or complete assigned filings. The ideal candidate will take charge of the finance function, anticipate upcoming requirements, maintain control over deadlines, communicate issues promptly, and ensure that both the firm’s and its clients’ financial matters are managed efficiently and professionally.
