Position: Business Strategy & Growth Intern
Location: Remote | Duration: 3-6 months | Type: Internship
About the Role
We're looking for a dynamic, business-minded intern from a top-tier management institute (IIM) to join our founding/core team. This role is ideal for someone who wants hands-on exposure to how a startup actually operates — from strategy and operations to stakeholder communication and growth — rather than a typical structured corporate internship. You'll work directly with the founders/leadership team and get a front-row seat to real business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and refining business strategy, go-to-market plans, and growth initiatives
- Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations and pitch decks for internal reviews, investor updates, and client/partner meetings
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry benchmarking to support decision-making
- Support fundraising efforts, including investor deck preparation and data room organization (if applicable)
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, and product teams to understand end-to-end business functioning
- Analyze business metrics and prepare MIS/reports for leadership review
- Represent the company confidently in internal and external meetings, demonstrating strong communication and presentation skills
- Identify process gaps and propose practical, implementable solutions
- Take ownership of specific mini-projects with measurable outcomes by the end of the internship
Who We're Looking For
- Pursuing or recently completed an MBA/PGDM from a top-tier IIM
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills — comfortable presenting ideas clearly and confidently to leadership and external stakeholders
- Genuine interest in business strategy, entrepreneurship, and the startup ecosystem (not just looking for a resume line)
- High ownership mindset — comfortable with ambiguity, fast pace, and wearing multiple hats, as is typical in a startup environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, self-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Prior internship/project experience in a startup, consulting, or entrepreneurial venture is a plus, but not mandatory
What You'll Gain
- Direct mentorship and exposure to founders/leadership in a fast-paced startup environment
- Real ownership of projects with tangible business impact — not just observation or shadow work
- A 360-degree view of how a business is actually built and scaled, beyond theoretical frameworks
- Opportunity to build your network within the startup/entrepreneurship ecosystem
- Potential for a pre-placement offer (PPO) based on performance
