Role: Business Finance Manager

About The Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and business-oriented Business Finance Manager to partner with our Supply Chain and Last Mile Delivery teams. This role will be responsible for driving financial performance, cost optimization, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across our end-to-end fulfilment network. The ideal candidate will have strong business finance experience in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, Retail,
Logistics, or FMCG, with the ability to translate operational data into actionable financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering
- Serve as the finance business partner for Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehousing, and Last Mile Delivery teams.
- Partner with business leaders to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Challenge business assumptions and identify opportunities to optimize costs.
- Supply Chain Finance
- Own financial planning and performance management for fulfillment centers and dark stores.
- Analyze procurement, inbound logistics, warehousing, handling, and inventory costs.
- Monitor inventory carrying cost, shrinkage, wastage, stock ageing, and write-offs.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse productivity and optimize supply chain costs.
- Support inventory planning and network expansion decisions through financial analysis.
- Last Mile Delivery Finance
- Drive financial performance of the last mile delivery network.
- Analyse delivery partner payouts, rider incentives, fleet utilization, and partner commercials.
- Monitor key delivery metrics including:
- Cost per Order
- Cost per Delivery
- Rider Productivity
- Orders per Rider
- Delivery Distance
- Delivery Time
- Batching Efficiency
- Recommend initiatives to improve delivery margins and operational efficiency.
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Prepare annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and monthly outlooks.
- Perform variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Build financial models for:
- New City Launches
- Dark Store Expansion
- Capacity Planning
○ Network Optimization
- Support long-term financial planning for Operations.
- Cost Analytics & Unit Economics
- Own end-to-end unit economics across the fulfillment journey.
- Identify major cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate ROI of automation, operational initiatives, and productivity projects.
- Develop business cases for strategic investments.
- Performance Reporting
- Develop operational finance dashboards and KPIs.
- Present weekly and monthly business reviews to leadership.
- Track financial and operational performance against targets.
- Deliver actionable insights using data analytics.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Product, Strategy, Data Analytics, and Finance teams.
- Support commercial negotiations through financial analysis.
- Ensure financial governance across operational spend.
Qualifications
- CA / MBA (Finance) / CFA / CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- 5–8 years of experience in Business Finance, FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Supply Chain Finance.
- Experience in Quick Commerce, E-commerce, Retail, Logistics, FMCG, Food Delivery, or Marketplace businesses is highly preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong financial planning and business partnering skills.
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling capabilities.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics cost structures.
- Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with Power BI/Tableau and SQL is preferred.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
