Job details:
We’re hiring a Business Development Manager at Profound.
What you’ll own:
- Identify and acquire VC-backed and high-growth tech companies as clients
- Build relationships with founders, CHROs, Heads of Talent, and hiring managers
- Run outbound across LinkedIn, cold email, calls, referrals, and your existing network
- Build, prioritize, and manage your own sales pipeline
- Own the entire sales cycle from first outreach to signed mandate
- Work directly with the founders on GTM, positioning, and strategic accounts
- Bring insights from client conversations back to the product team
You’ll be a great fit if you:
- Have a proven track record of closing new clients in recruitment or staffing
- Have an existing network of founders, CHROs, Heads of Talent, or hiring leaders
- Have sold recruiting services to VC-backed and high-growth tech companies
- Have personally handled prospecting, outreach, meetings, follow-ups, negotiation, and closure
- Can build your own BD process without relying on an established playbook
- Know how to prioritize accounts instead of simply maximizing outreach volume
- Are comfortable operating in an early-stage, high-ownership environment
What we’re specifically looking for:
- New-logo acquisition experience, not just account management
- Strong understanding of the tech hiring ecosystem
- Existing relationships that you can activate from day one
- A structured and numbers-driven approach to pipeline management
- High ownership and the ability to operate independently
