About MGrow
MGrow is a skill development and workforce training organization focused on emerging, job-ready technology sectors, including Electric Vehicles (EV) and AI. We design hands-on, industry-aligned training programs and partner with corporates, MSMEs, sector skill councils, and academic institutions to build a pipeline of employable, future-ready talent. MGrow has trained 40,000+ students across metro and Tier 2/3 markets, and has delivered EV-specific training in partnership with organizations such as Vehicle Care, Castrol, Bosch, and Eka Mobility — including training and placing 500+ candidates as EV technicians and floor managers with Vehicle Care alone.
Role Description
MGrow is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive institutional sales for our EV training vertical. This role is responsible for identifying, pitching, and onboarding MSMEs, large corporates, and colleges/universities as training partners or clients, with the goal of delivering EV skilling programs (technician training, upskilling, and job-assistance courses) inside their organizations or campuses. The ideal candidate has deep, hands-on EV sector experience and an established network across manufacturers, dealerships, service networks, fleet operators, and academic institutions, and is comfortable being both a business developer and a credible voice on EV skilling needs when engaging senior stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Identify and build a pipeline of MSMEs, large corporates, and colleges/universities that need EV training, upskilling, or workforce-readiness programs for their employees, dealer networks, or students.
- Pitch MGrow's EV training programs (e.g., EV Technician & Mobility Job Assistance Program, Advanced Electric & Connected Vehicle Program, EV Service & Repair Technician Program) to decision-makers — HR/L&D heads, plant/service heads, MSME owners, and college placement/academic leadership.
- Own the full B2B/B2I sales cycle: prospecting, first meetings, proposal and pricing development, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding.
- Build and manage strategic partnerships with EV OEMs, dealerships, service networks, fleet operators, sector skill councils, and educational institutions to create training and placement pipelines.
- Customize training proposals (duration, curriculum focus, batch size, delivery mode — onsite/hybrid/campus) based on the partner's workforce or student profile.
- Coordinate with MGrow's academic/delivery and operations teams to ensure smooth handover, batch scheduling, and successful program delivery post-onboarding.
- Represent MGrow at EV industry events, trade fairs, college placement drives, and MSME association forums to generate leads and build brand visibility.
- Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and revenue tracking in CRM, and report regularly on partnership status, conversions, and revenue against targets.
- Gather partner and market feedback on EV skilling gaps to help shape new program offerings.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of Business Development experience within the EV (Electric Vehicle) sector — e.g., with an EV OEM, EV component/battery manufacturer, EV dealership/service network, fleet operator, or EV skilling/training organization.
- Proven experience selling to or partnering with MSMEs, large corporates, and/or educational institutions (colleges/universities).
- Strong understanding of the EV ecosystem — vehicle technology, service/technician workforce needs, and industry hiring/skilling gaps — sufficient to speak credibly with technical and HR/academic stakeholders.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding B2B/institutional sales targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging CXOs, plant heads, HR/L&D leaders, and college leadership.
- Willingness to travel extensively for client/partner meetings, site visits, and events.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Existing network of contacts within EV OEMs, dealerships, MSME associations, sector skill councils, or higher education institutions.
- Prior experience in EdTech, vocational training, or skill development sales.
- Experience designing or scoping customized training/upskilling programs for institutional clients.
What MGrow Offers
- Competitive fixed compensation plus performance-linked incentives.
- The opportunity to shape and scale a fast-growing EV skilling vertical with real industry partnerships (Vehicle Care, Castrol, Bosch, Eka Mobility).
- A collaborative environment working alongside academic delivery, operations, and marketing teams.
- Exposure to a high-growth sector at the intersection of EV and workforce development.
