We are expanding our healthcare business development team and are looking for a Business Development Executive who can build relationships with hospitals, generate new opportunities and drive enterprise sales.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for developing new business for SterloCare, with a predominant focus on hospitals and healthcare organizations.
You will engage with hospital leadership and functional stakeholders to understand their challenges, identify relevant SterloCare solutions and take opportunities through the sales cycle, from initial prospecting to closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across hospitals, hospital groups and healthcare organizations.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through LinkedIn, outbound calling, email campaigns, referrals, healthcare events and industry networks.
- Research hospitals and identify relevant decision-makers, influencers and potential business opportunities.
- Engage with hospital CEOs, administrators, quality heads, nursing leadership, infection control teams, operations teams and IT stakeholders.
- Understand hospital processes, challenges and improvement requirements and identify relevant SterloCare solutions.
- Conduct initial discovery conversations and qualify opportunities based on business need, stakeholders, timelines and potential.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, discovery meetings and solution discussions with internal product and pre-sales teams.
- Manage opportunities through the complete B2B sales cycle: lead generation, qualification, discovery, demo, proposal, negotiation and closure.
- Work closely with internal teams to prepare proposals, presentations and solution discussions based on customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate lead and opportunity information in the CRM and ensure timely and structured follow-ups.
- Build strong relationships with hospital decision-makers and develop opportunities for long-term account growth.
- Participate in healthcare conferences, exhibitions, webinars, hospital meetings and industry events to generate new business.
- Monitor healthcare technology trends, customer requirements and competitor offerings.
- Achieve assigned monthly and quarterly pipeline and revenue targets.
What We're Looking For
- 2–4 years of experience in B2B Business Development / Sales.
- Experience selling to hospitals or healthcare organizations is strongly preferred.
- Experience in healthcare IT, hospital technology, healthcare SaaS, ERP or enterprise software sales will be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of prospecting, lead generation, qualification, pipeline management and B2B enterprise sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to confidently interact with senior hospital and healthcare stakeholders.
- Strong follow-up discipline and ownership of sales targets.
- Comfortable using LinkedIn, CRM platforms and digital prospecting tools.
- Self-driven, target-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for hospital meetings, customer visits and healthcare industry events.
Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate would have experience in healthcare or hospital-focused B2B sales and understand how hospital organizations evaluate and purchase technology solutions.
Candidates with experience selling Hospital Information Systems, healthcare SaaS, clinical/quality solutions, workflow platforms, hospital management solutions or other healthcare technology products will be preferred.
Experience dealing with multiple stakeholders within a hospital and navigating longer enterprise sales cycles will be an added advantage.
